Infrastructure Systems Administrator
We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Infrastructure Systems Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing support of our IT infrastructure. This position demands advanced technical proficiency in server administration, networking, virtualization, and enterprise services, including both on-premises and hybrid deployments of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 + of experience in IT systems administration, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 + years of progressive experience in IT systems and network administration, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- In-depth understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange On-Premises, M365, and hybrid messaging systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and network security.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead infrastructure troubleshooting and incident response.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Administer and support Windows Server and Linux-based systems, including patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
- Lead virtualization efforts using VMware ESXi/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V platforms.
- Support and maintain Microsoft Exchange environments (on-premises and hybrid) and M365 messaging systems.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Monitor network and server infrastructure for performance, security, and reliability.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff and support teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CCNA, or CompTIA Security.
